The Pearl River United Methodist Church will be holding a food drive on Saturday October 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the ShopRite of Pearl River.
The Church’s Outreach Committee is asking the community to donate food items to help stock the shelves at the food pantries at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Pearl River and the CUMAC Methodist Outreach Ministry in Paterson.
During these difficult economic times the St. Stephen’s Food Cupboard is now regularly serving more than 45 families in need. CUMAC, a non-profit outreach ministry of the United Methodist Church dedicated to alleviating poverty and hunger in northern New Jersey, is the largest food distribution program in Passaic County.
