Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce Hosts Programming Meeting

Anyone interested in offering input into the 2013 – 2014 programming year for the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce is encouraged to attend a programming meeting on Wednesday, August 7th at 7pm at the Nanuet Library. The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce was formed in September 2012 with the goal of enhancing life in Nanuet. Individuals as well as businesses from Nanuet and the surrounding community are invited to join the Chamber and be part of Nanuet's future. The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting and supporting the business, civic, and cultural vitality of Nanuet through advocacy, leadership and networking to create a vibrant, prosperous, environmentally sound, and strong community. The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce is working hard to serve the business owners and residents of Nanuet as it grows and expands into the future. Goals for 2013 – 2014 Include: Establishing an Annual Restaurant Week; working closely with the Town of Clarkstown on the rezoning of the downtown area and beautifying and improving Main Street as the Shops at Nanuet opens; hosting a Main Street Fair as well as a joint business networking event; and long range plans include looking into moving the train station to the new Mall so that it is more conducive for bringing people to the area for shopping. The Chamber also has a focus on cultural and environmentally friendly activities as well as health related events.
