Pearl River Farmers' Market - Friday, July 25th Market News

MARKET NEWS:
As July progresses our farms are bringing more and more freshly picked summer produce each week. The stone fruit recall from big box stores does not apply to our local fruits from small family farms - do you want to buy fruit from a packing plant or directly from the person that grew it?  Last week we saw the first peaches, corn, squash, and tomatoes are ripe and full of summertime flavors.

We will have face painting and a clown at the Market this week for the little ones while you shop, along with some farm-themed coloring pages.  Don't forget to treat them to an ice cream from our pushcart!

"Rockland Recycles" /Rockland Solid Waste Management Authority will be handing out FREE reusable bags and recycling information.

Our guest vendor will be Yogi's Choice, featuring handmade soaps and essential oil products.  Our grass-fed meat vendor will be back- all of Cliff's products are vacuum sealed and frozen so you can stock your freezer with high-quality beef and pork from pasture-raised animals.  Our featured local business at the Chamber of Commerce table will be The Toy Box - they will be bringing some of their summer inventory for you to browse. In addition, Cornell Cooperative Extension will have a table - be sure to visit. As always, please stop by the Market's table to purchase bags, t-shirts, and pick up some free seasonal recipes.
