Pearl River Public Library Art Exhibit

Beginning the New Year with a bold stroke, the Arts at the Pearl River Public Library presents the vivid canvases of Gary Falkenstern.  A long- time Pearl River resident and Library patron, Falkenstern began painting in childhood and went on to study at Parsons School of Design.  His highly emotional work takes it cues from such modern masters as Henri Matisse, Arshile Gorky and Willem de Kooning.  Running from  January 2nd - January 29th this show is not to be missed.  Meet the artist at an Opening Reception on January 5th in the Community Room, 2 pm - 4 pm.
