Married acoustic duo The Levins and Americana songstress Loretta Hagen will
share  the stage for the first time at
the Turning Point Cafe, for a magical afternoon of music.

Ira and Julia Levin combine harmony-driven acoustic folk rock with wistful
overtones of the 1930s with the intention of putting a smile on your face
…  sounds like The Mamas and The Papas having coffee with Cole Porter.. They’ve been performing in the Hudson Valley,
Catskills, northern NJ and NYC, winning the 2011 Connecticut Folk Festival
songwriting competition. Their recent CD, My
Friend Hafiz, inspired by the poetry of  Sufi mystic poet Hafiz, was
in the top 20 on folk radio and WFUV’s John Platt included the CD in his Best
for 2013. They are currently working on new material for a 2014 release.  www.thelevinsmusic.com
