The Billy Kayser Witness to Hope Committee is sponsoring a blood drive Sunday April 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Toner Hall at St. Margaret's Church in Pearl River.

Donations are being accepted by the Good Samaritan Hospital Blood Bank and will remain in Rockland County.

General guidelines for blood donors are as follows:

  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • In good health
  • Weigh at least 110 pounds
  • Have not donated blood in the last 56 days

Blood drive pays tribute to Billy Kayser, a 16-year-old Pearl River High School student who died April 3, 2003. Kayser gave the gift of life as an organ donor.

For more information, contact Diane Kayser at (845) 735-4157.
