American Cancer Society Relay For Life

The Orangetown American Cancer Society Relay For Life is set for June 17 at the East Central Avenue Field in Pearl River.

The event, one of many across the nation, gives everyone in communities a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease, according to the American Cancer Society.

At the relay, teams camp out and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Families are invited to camp out or walk the track lined with Lumunaries (candles) to honor survivors or those lost to cancer.
