Friends Remember Brian Casey at Annual Football Tournament

Two Pearl River residents are among the founders of the annual fundraiser.

As dedicated as ever, friends of 1994 North Rockland High School graduate Brian Casey will gather the day after Thanksgiving to remember the former football player.

The Brian Casey Bowl, now in its 12th year, was founded by two Pearl River residents and one Dobbs Ferry resident, all friends of Casey; and draws dozens of players and spectators each year, according to a post on Patch.

The tournament serves as a fundraiser for Friends of Brian Casey, which offers scholarships to North Rockland High School seniors, as well as donates to charities including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the American Cancer Society and Sloan Kettering Cancer.

Casey lost his battle with lymphoma as a freshman in college at SUNY Cobleskill.

Anyone who is interested in participating in this year's bowl is welcome to stop by the North Rockland High School football field (106 Hammond Rd. Thiells, NY 10984) on Friday, Nov. 29 at 12 p.m.
