The Orangetown Patriots' Junior Midgets and Midgets teams will go to Disney World in Orlando, FL to compete in the Pop Warner National Cheerleading Competition Dec. 8-14.
Both teams earned their way to nationals by finishing first at the regional competition in Albany, NY Nov. 17. The Orangetown Patriots draw from Pearl River, Orangeburg, Blauvelt and Nanuet and between the two teams, will be taking nearly 70 girls to Disney.
Fundraising efforts to pay for the trip will kick off with a night out at T.F. Noonan's in Pearl River 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. Admission is $20 at the door, which includes light food, drink specials at the cash bar and an opportunity to win an Advent Wine Calendar. There will also be a 50/50 and they will be raffling off gift certificates to local restaurants through the night.
