An Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held Feb. 15 at the Pearl River Elks Lodge 2041, where Blauvelt resident Victor Armaniaco of BSA Troop #2 attained the rank of Eagle Scout, a distinction earned by only 4 percent of all Boy Scouts nationwide.
The event was well attended by family, friends, elected officials, and fellow scouts, county officials said. Rockland County Executive Ed Day presented Armaniaco with an Award of Excellence on behalf of County of Rockland during the ceremony.
His Eagle Leadership Service Project was a significant paving and beautification of the grounds of the Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery.
