The local neighborhood once again will not be the only place to go trick or treating in Pearl River on Halloween,
Businesses in downtown Pearl River will be handing out candy from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in an annual event organized by the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce.
At the same time, Pearl River Dentistry at 32 South Main Street will be collecting candy to ship to deployed U.S. service members. They will be offering prizes in exchange for candy Thursday. Donations can be dropped off through Nov. 5. They are also asking participants to consider writing a letter or drawing a picture to be included in the care packages. Read more here.
