ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE "Art of the Interview" Series Continues With Ed Randall and President of Major League Baseball Robert Manfred Jr.

(November 11, 2013- SPARKILL, NY)--St. Thomas Aquinas College’s “Art of the Interview” series hosted by Ed Randall, longtime New Yorkradio and television personality and published author, will continue with its third interview featuring Robert Manfred, Jr., President of Major League Baseball, announces Michael McManus, Director of Academic Services and Professor of Sports Management at the College. The event is scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the College’s Sullivan Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.

The “Art of the Interview” series is co-sponsored by the Communications Arts and Sports Management departments at the College and will consist of different interviews conducted by Mr. Randall throughout the semester. Manfred’s interview will be the third event in the series.

“We are looking forward to continuing our series with such an influential broadcaster in the world of sports,” McManus says of Randall. “Our students will benefit from the ability to witness firsthand Mr. Randall’s expertise in the interview process. And Robert Manfred is sure to be an entertaining guest for our audience as well as a great source for our business students,” McManus adds.

Randall, an esteemed national broadcaster, is considered one of the nation’s leading baseball interviewers on television and radio, which attests to his regular appearances as a valued contributor on ESPN Classic’s anthology shows and now, on the new MLB Network. His critically-acclaimed television series, Ed Randall's Talking Baseball, developed an enviable heritage of journalism, the result of more than 500 compelling interviews with the Who’s Who of baseball. The program aired on various regional sports networks across the country and was seen locally on the MSG-Network. Randall’s radio show, Ed Randall’s Talking Baseball, airs on WFAN-radio every Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

"Rob Manfred has been a moving force in baseball's continued war on performance-enhancing drugs and as management's point man with the baseball player's union,” said Randall. “As the recently elevated President of Major League Baseball, he is intimately acquainted with all issues facing the industry" he added.

Manfred graduated from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University (NY). He received his law degreemagna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1983.
