ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE NAMES MAUREEN MULHERN
DIRECTOR OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT

(November 8, 2013- SPARKILL, NY)--St. Thomas Aquinas Collegerecently appointed MaureenMulhern as the new Director of Career Development announced Dr. Kirk Manning, Vice President and Dean for Student Development.

In her role as Director of Career Development, Mulhern (Stony Point) will develop strong relationships between employers and students and market STAC graduates to national, regional and local organizations and corporations. She will also coordinate all Career Development events, oversee all programs, and develop new opportunities for students to enhance their experience and prepare them for careers after graduation.

“Maureen is a highly efficient career counseling professional with a varying background of experience, including high school guidancecounseling, college career counseling, college-level teaching, and corporate work,” said Manning. “She has excellent time-management, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills that will no doubt benefit STAC’s students in their career pursuits,” he added.

Mulhern earned a Bachelor of Business Administration inMarketing from St. Bonaventure University (NY) and a Master ofScience in Education from Fordham University (NY). She holds a provisionalschool counselor certification in New York and school counselor certification in New Jersey. Mulhern is also certified in Eclectic Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

Prior to STAC, Mulhern worked as an Alumni Career Counselor atPurchase College (NY) where she counseled students and alumni. In addition she has extensive credentials in Career Services including North Rockland High School (NY) guidance counseling, and Dominican College (NY) and Fordham University career counseling.
