ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE PROMOTES DANIELLE YOUNG TO ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR & ADMISSIONS SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

(Sparkill, NY—October 8, 2013)
 – St. Thomas Aquinas College recently promoted Danielle Young to Admissions Counselor & Admissions Social Media Coordinator, announced Dr. Bart Grachan, Director of Admissions at the College.

Young (Garnerville, NY) joined the admissions team as a counselor in July 2011. In her new role as Admissions Social MediaCoordinator, she will continue managing her recruitment territory and coordinate the Admissions Office’s social media efforts. These efforts include managing the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube networks, as well as other social media presences, with a focus on recruiting students through these means.

“Danielle has lifted the Admissions Office’s social media efforts off the ground since she joined the team in 2011,” said Grachan. “Her expertise in the area and dedication to keep our office and theCollege moving forward on the social media front provide various ways for our prospective and current students to connect with us. We are delighted to have Danielle as a dynamic member of our team,” added Grachan.

Young (pictured) travels to high schools and community colleges throughout Westchester County (NY), the Hudson Valley and Upstate New York, as well as Connecticut. She builds relationships with counselors at those schools and works closely with college bound students and families on the application and financial aidprocesses.

Young graduated St. Thomas Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts in May 2011. She is currently enrolled in the College’s MBA in Marketing program. As an undergraduate student, Young was highly involved in the Laetare Players Drama Club and worked in the Registrar’s Office. She is an active member of New York State Association for College Admission Counseling, National Association for College Admission Counseling, Alpha Chi, and recently joined STAC’s Alumni Association Board of Directors.
