Burglar Sentenced: Rockland County DA

Justin Delgardio, 29, of 120 Lois Drive, Pearl River was sentenced Feb. 26 before New York State Supreme Court Justice William A. Kelly to a state prison term of 6 years after pleading guilty to counts of Burglary in the 2nd and the 4th Degree.

District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said that on or about July 4, 2013 at around 1:15 p.m., Delgardio was observed entering an unoccupied car—by the car's driver.

"The victim was able to remove the defendant from his car and called the police," Zugibe said in a written statement.

Also, Delgardio's DNA was found in a home where the homeowner found a broken window, screen removed and damaged and $1,423 in cash missing from a desk sometime between April 25 and May 23, 2013.
