Child Struck By Car in Ramapo

A five-year-old child is in stable condition at Westchester Medical Center after being struck by a motor vehicle in front of his home in Ramapo.

Ramapo Police responded to a call that child was hit by a car on Roberts Road at approximately 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

According to police, the 5-year-old boy ran out between two parked cars in front of his home and was stuck by a minivan driven by a local resident. The child was treated on the scene for head injuries and taken by Hatzoloh ambulance to Westchester Medical Center. His condition was reported as stable.

The Ramapo Police Accident investigation team is investigating the incident.
