Convicted Killer McCain's Parole Hearing Postponed Again

The New York State Parole Board hearing scheduled this week for Robert McCain, who was convicted in the killing of Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River in 1980, has been postponed until mid-January.

Convicted murderer Robert McCain asked for his June parole hearing to be postponed, leading to the interview being rescheduled for this week.

The hearing has been rescheduled again, this time until mid-January due to "inmate unavailability."

McCain and Richard LaBarbara were convicted of murdering 16-year-old Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River Oct. 28, 1980. McCain was sentenced to 25-years-to- life and first became eligible for parole in 2005. He has a hearing every two years.
