Cops: Man Fighting Outside Pearl River Bar Turned On Orangetown Officers

Bogota, NJ, man repeatedly banged his head on the roof of a parked car.

A New Jersey man was ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Center in New City on $1,000 bail Sunday after he was involved with a fight outside a Pearl River bar and then fought with police officers trying to arrest him, according to Orangetown police.

Adolfo F. Aguirre, 29, of 190 Maplewood Ave., Bogota, was charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest, harassment and disorderly conduct after a 3:35 a.m. incident in front of , 33 W. Central Ave. Police said Aguirre was involved with a fight and then slammed his head against a parked car several times.

As town officers tried to arrest him, police said Aguirre spit on one of the officers and then fought with them. After he was arrested Aguirre was taken to Nyack Hospital, where police said he was treated for head injuries.

Aguirre was arraigned in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg and sent to the county jail pending a town court hearing.
