McCain Parole Hearing Postponed

Robert McCain, who was convicted in the killing of Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River in 1980, will have his hearing with the New York State Parole Board at a time to be determined in the next six months.

Convicted murderer Robert McCain was granted a postponement of his parole hearing, which had been scheduled for this week.

According to the New York Department of Corrections and Community Submition Public Information Office, McCain submitted a letter asking for time to wait on court papers and was granted a six-month postponement. That means once the papers he is waiting for arrive, his hearing will be put on the following month's schedule, but it will be no more than six months from now.

McCain and Richard LaBarbara were convicted of murdering 16-year-old Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River Oct. 28, 1980. McCain was sentenced to 25-years-to- life and first became eligible for parole in 2005. He has a hearing every two years.
