Orange County Man Charged in 2010 Palisades Center Robbery

Employee of gold-buying kiosk robbed of more than $1,000.

An Orange County man has been charged in connection with a 2010 robbery in which more than $1,000 cash was stolen from an employee of a gold-buying kiosk at Palisades Center mall in West Nyack, according to Clarkstown Police.

An investigation by Clarkstown detectives led to the arrest of Michael Berrios, 24, of Newburgh, who is charged with third-degree robbery and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The arrested stems from an incident in May 2010 at the mall.

Berrios was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City on $2,500 bail. He faces a hearing on Monday.
