Horse Walks Down Route 303; Police Respond

Orangetown Police and animal control officers responded to report of a horse walking along Route 303 in Orangeburg Monday morning.

Orangetown Police responded to a call that a horse was walking in the roadway on Route 303 between Orangeburg Road and Mountainview Ave. Monday morning.

When police arrived, the dark colored horse had moved to the grassy area near West Carberry Stables. The trainer from the stables, owned by Matthew Traubt, was called to secure the horse.

There were no reports of property damage or injuries related to the horse's escape.
