Parole Hearing Set For Convicted Killer McCain

Robert McCain, who was convicted in the killing of Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River in 1980, is scheduled to have an interview with the New York State Parole Board this week.

Convicted murderer Robert McCain is scheduled to have a hearing with the the New York State Parole Board this week.

McCain and Richard LaBarbara were convicted of murdering 16-year-old Paula Bohovesky of Pearl River Oct. 28, 1980. They attacked and killed her just three blocks from home as she walked from her part-time job at Pearl River Public Library.

LaBarbara and McCain were given sentences of 25-years-to-life and first became eligible for parole in 2005. They come up for a hearing again every two years. LaBarbara was denied parole May 11, 2011.

According to prison records, McCain, 50, is being held in the medium security Mid-Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick, NY.
