The mock accident would have demonstrated what can happen after a car accident caused by drinking and driving. They are often given around this time of year to help highten awareness of the dangers involved in driving while intoxicated just before prom season and summer vacation.

In one example, Clarkstown North High School ran a similar mock accident June 11, 2010 as a reminder to drive safely right before the school's prom. Pictures from that re-enactment are attached to this report.
