Pearl River Man Charged With Assault In Domestic Dispute

Police: Victim treated and later released from Nyack Hospital.

A 62-year-old Pearl River man is accused of second-degree strangulation, a felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, after an attack involving a domestic dispute at his home, according to Orangetown police.

Carl P. Tulevech of 164 W. Townline Road was arrested at his home about 8:32 a.m. Saturday. Police said Tulevech is accused of grabbing the victim around the neck, impairing her ability to breathe and causing substantial pain.

The victim, police said, was taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment and later released.

Tulevech was arraigned in in Orangeburg and released pending a hearing in Town Court.
