Pearl River Teens to Receive O'Grady-Brown Scholarships

Two Pearl River High School Students will be among six Rockland County teenagers to receive O'Grady-Brown Memorial Scholarships in a ceremony at 10 a.m. June 1 at the Nyack Seaport. 
Each of the college-bound teenagers will receive $1,000. The event is open to the public. Tickets cost $25.
This year's recipients are:

  • Emma Calva, Spring Valley High School
  • Eric Collazo, North Rockland High School
  • Kevin Duffy, Pearl River High School
  • Steven Lane, Nyack High School
  • Rashelly Palma, Spring Valley High School
  • Sean Reagan-Ward, Pearl River High School
The scholarship fund was created in the names of of Nyack Police sergeant Edward O'Grady and officer Waverly Brown, who were killed in the line of duty during the Brinks Robbery in 1981.
