A New Jersey man was charged with drunken driving in an incident on Route 303 in Orangetown on Sunday, according to New York State Police in Haverstraw.
Stephen Rossillo, 42, of Ridgefield, NJ, was stopped while traveling southbound on Route 303 at 3:30 a.m., police said. Rossillo was cited for speeding and an equipment violation — no headlights — and he was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
He was later released to a third party pending a hearing in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg.
- In an unrelated incident on Saturday, state police said two people stopped on the Palisades Interstate Parkway at 10:30 a.m. were cited for illegal possession of marijuana, a violation. Cited were an 18-year-old New City woman and a 21-year-old Franklin Lakes, NJ, womaon.
