Police Blotter: Incidents in Rockland County

Arrests from warrant investigations, traffic incidents, Family Court matters.

Police reported the following incidents in Rockland County:

Allen Knight, 23, of the Bronx, was arrested in the Bronx by the Rockland County Sheriff's Department on a warrant accusing him of violating a Rockland County Family Court order.

He was arraigned on Friday in Family Court and released pending a hearing. The Sheriff's Department said Knight owes a private party $3,096 and the Rockland County Department of Social Services $2,322 related to a Family Court matter.

- Gary R. Schaneen, 47, of 47 New Main St., Haverstraw, was arrested on Monday on a petty larceny charge after a warrant investigation in Stony Point. He was arraigned by Judge Frank Phillips and released pending an Oct. 4 Stony Point Town Court hearing.

- Fernando Manuel, 22, of 30 Knapp Rd., Stony Point, was arrested on Monday on a charge of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana after he was found in possession of 2.8 grams of marihuana in Stony Point. He was released on an appearance ticket for a Nov. 1 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

- Candela Rodriguez, 21, of 48 N. Hickory St., Spring Valley, was arrested on Monday for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after a vehicle and traffic stop. Stony Point police said her license was suspended. She was released pending a Nov. 1 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

- Kevin Elizer, 25, of 111 S. Liberty Dr., Stony Point, was arrested on Friday for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and Disorderly Conduct, after he turned himself in on an active Bench Warrant in Stony Point. He was arraigned by Judge Frank Phillips and released on $100 bail pending a Nov. 1 Stony Point Town Court hearing.

- John M. LoRusso, 47, of 423 Angola Rd., Cornwall, N.Y, was arrested on Friday for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, Failure to Surrender a Suspended Driver's License and Operating with a Suspended Registration after a vehicle and traffic stop during a Selective Traffic Enforcement detail in Stony Point funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.

- Police said a further DMV inquiry determined that LoRusso was operating a motor vehicle while his driver's license was suspended for insurance not in effect. LoRusso was released pending an Oct. 18 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

- Amber Salmon, 20, of 33-18 31st Ave, Astoria, Queens, was arrested on Tuesday for Petty Larceny after she turned herself in on an active Bench Warrant in Stony Point. She was arraigned by the Judge Frank Phillips and released on $200 bail pending an Oct. 18 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

- Joseph Naclerio, 30, of 25A Spring St., Stony Point, was arrested on Monday for Harassment and Second-Degree Criminal Contempt 2nd after a warrant investigation in Stony Point. He was arraigned by the Judge Frank Phillips and released on $500 bail pending an Oct. 4 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

- Hemant Bhatt, 36, of 30 Village Mill, Haverstraw, was arrested on Saturday for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after a vehicle and traffic stop and subsequent DMV inquiry found his driver's license is suspended. He was later released pending an Oct. 18 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

- Matthew Pinnock, 19, of 1 Johnson Dr., Stony Point, was arrested on Tuesday for Menacing after a warrant investigation by Stony Point Police. He was arraigned by Judge Frank Phillips and released pending a Nov. 1 Stony Point Town Court hearing.

- Stephen Mahoney, 43, of Garnerville, was arrested by the Rockland County Sheriff's Department on a warrant charging him with failure to pay child support in violation of a Rockland County Family Court Order.

Mahoney was brought to Family Court, where he was given 30 days to pay $5,000 or face 30 days in the Rockland County Correctional Facility.

- David T. Garrison, 19, of 15 Brooks Dr., Stony Point, was arrested on Thursday on a charge of Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st and Possession of Alcohol under 21 after he turned himself in on an active Bench Warrant in Stony Point. He was  arraigned by Judge William F. Franks and released pending an Oct. 4 Stony Point Town Court hearing.

- Ivan Pilco, 29, of 193 W. Clarkstown Rd., Apt. 5., New City, was arrested on a charge of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after a vehicle and traffic stop in Stony Point. A DMV inquiry determined that he was operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended for failing to pay a drivers responsibility assessment. He was released pending an Oct. 11 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

- Wanda Diaferia, 30, of 8 Rella Dr., New City, was arrested Sept. 19 on a charge of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after a vehicle and traffic stop in Stony Point. A DMV inquiry determined that she was operating a motor vehicle while her license was suspended. She was released pending an Oct. 18 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.
