Driver stopped for not using headlights at 4:30 a.m.

A New City woman is accused of drunken driving after she was stopped on Route 304 in Pearl River for driving without headlights on at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Orangetown police.

Police said Nancy J. Cohn, 52, of 487-A West Clarkstown Road was also seen driving erratically. Police said Cohn failed a sobriety test, but later refused to take a chemical breath test for alcohol.

Cohn was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and cited for several traffic violations, police said. She was released pending an April 4 hearing in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg.
