Ramapo Police: Person of Interest From Murder Scene Surrenders

Otha "Lee" Williams, 20, of Bronx, NY turned himself in at New York Police Department 48th Precinct Monday.

Ramapo Police had been looking for Williams as a person of interest related to the murder of Riccardo Bennett, 22, of Spring Valley Sunday night. Ramapo Police Detectives picked him up from the NYPD Monday night.

Williams was charged with 2nd Degree Menacing and was scheduled to be arraigned at Ramapo Court Tuesday.

Bennett was stabbed in the chest in Hillcrest during the same incident and was later declared dead at Good Samaritan Hospital. 

Rockland County BCI and the Rockland County Medical Examiner's Office are working with the Ramapo Police Investigations division on the case. Anyone with information should call Ramapo Police at (845) 357-2400.
