State Police Arrest RPC Patient For Assault

Kurt Grdich, 41 years old, attacked Oswaldo Isales, 52, at approximately 8:25 a.m. Monday morning at the Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg according to New York State Police

Both men are patients at RPC. According to the police investigation, Grdich used an ink pen to strike Isales in the back of the head the left eye and the back of the left hand. Isales was taken to Nyack Hospital and treated for wounds that were termed "superficial" to the back of his head and hands. The injury to his eye is still being evaluated.

Grdich was arrested for assault in the second degree. He will face the charges June 26 at the Town of Orangetown Court.
