Utility Poles Fall in Pearl River High School Parking Lot

Two utility poles fell in the parking lot at Pearl River High School Monday afternoon. No one was injured and there was no damage to the building or loss of power.

One utility poll fell over in the parking lot beside Pearl River High School late Monday afternoon, eventually pulling down a second pole with it.

No one was injured and there was no damage to the high school building or any of the cars parked within.

Orangetown Police responded to the call as did crews with Orange & Rockland Utilities.

According to the Pearl River administration, the high school did not lose power. There were lights that shine on the parking lot on top of the utility poles. No word yet if any phone service in the area was disrupted by the fallen poles.
