Carlucci Visits Pearl River Middle School

Pearl River Middle School seventh graders got to learn about how the state government operates from one of its members when Senator David Carlucci (D-New City) visited the school Firday.

Carlucci spoke to approximately 50 students, teachers and administrators in the PRMS auditorium, addressing topics such as the state budget, how a bill becomes a law and legislation that he is currently working on.

“We need more young people to become involved in politics and serve their communities,” Carlucci said.  “Everyone here has a voice that matters.  I encourage you to use it, become well informed of the issues, offer your suggestions to your elected officials, and you will see that you can make New York State a better place to live.”
