New York State Foreclosure Prevention Mobile Unit

Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee will bring the New York State Foreclosure Prevention Mobile Unit to the Shoprite Parking Lot, 250 Rte 59, Suffern,to assist Rockland homeowners who are concerned about mortgages, payments, interest rates, mortgage modification, foreclosure and working with banks and mortgage companies. Representatives from Legal Aid Society of Rockland County, Legal Aid Services of the Hudson Valley, and Rockland Housing Action Coalition will be available to assist homeowners. Creole and Spanish translators will be available.

 “We in government have a clear moral imperative to help keep people in their homes, especially those who have fallen prey to the predatory practices of sub-prime lenders. But the need to stem this crisis goes much deeper,” says Jaffee. “That’s why I’m so pleased the State Department of Financial Services, will come to the aid of our community. “
