Learn About Parent Liability for Underage Drinking at Tappan Zee High School

SOCASA and Wellcore are sponsoring a panel discussion in the Tappan Zee High School library May 7 at 7 p.m.

Orangetown Justice Richard Finning will join Brian Condon and the Orangetown Police Dept. in a panel discussion of parent liabiltiy for underage drinking 7 p.m. May 7 in the Tappan Zee High School library. 

SOCASA (South Orangetown Community Awareness of Substance Abuse) and Wellcore are sponsoring the panel, which is open to anyone wanting to learn about parents' legal responsibilities. 

According to the flier, the panelists will answer questions such as

  • What if my child serves alcohol to his friends in my house without telling me?
  • What if one of my daugther's friends brings alcohol into my home?
  • What if I offer my child a glass of wine at a family holiday dinner?

SOCASA and Wellcore are also among the sponsors of a seminar focusing on the prescription drug problem in Rockland County Wednesday, May 8 at 7 p.m. at Orangetown Town Hall.
