Legislature Proclaims Nyack Hospital Day

The Joint Commission recently designated Nyack Hospital as one of the nation's Top Performers on Key Quality Measures for the second consecutive year.

In recognition of the accomplishment, Rockland County Legislature Chairwoman Harriet Cornell issued a proclamation declaring Nov. 7 to be Nyack Hospital Day in the county. Legislator Aney Paul presented the proclamation to the Nyack Hospital administration last week.

The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit accreditor of health care organizations. The Joint Commission's designation of Nyack Hospital reflects meeting set standards for safe and effective patient care.
