Letter to the Editor: Carlucci Helpful During Sandy

This letter to the editor is by David Newman of Nyack

In the days following the hurricane, local residents huddled in front of the darkened Nyack village hall, seeking help and direction from public officials.

Senator David Carlucci stepped forward with more than helpful advice, offering his offices to all those in need of a warm place to recharge computers and phones. When my wife and I accepted his gracious invitation we learned first hand what kind of operation Senator Carlucci runs—a staff of warm hearted, hard working people who went out of their way to aid and comfort us, one even to the point of displacing herself from her own workstation.

For this, they have earned my thanks.

I also have to agree his office staff was wonderful. They are the ones who got the job done and were listening and very caring about situations that needed to be prioritized. Hats off to Senator Carlucci and his staff, great job!
