O&R To Distribute Dry Ice in Orangeburg Monday

O&R will partner with the Town of Orangetown to give out dry ice from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Veterans Memorial Park in Orangeburg.

Orange & Rockland Utilities began spreading its deliveries of dry ice to more locations this weekend.

That includes arranging with the Town of Orangetown to distribute dry ice from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Veterans Memorial Park in Orangeburg. O&R employees will give the bags of dry ice out on a first-come, first-served basis to aid those still without power.

O&R had been distributing dry and regular ice during the week, but Provident Bank Park in Pomona had been the only location in Rockland.

"It makes more sense to distribute ice locally than have folks drive to Pomona, so I am happy to work with O&R to help those who still don't have power in Orangetown," Orangetown Supervisor Andy Stewart said.
