The Town of Orangetown recently added associate youth memberships for ages 12 to 17 to play at Blue Hill Golf Course and Broadacres Golf Club.

Orangetown approved newly-created associate youth memberships as part of its golf fees for 2013.

The $30 membership allows pople ages 12 to 17 to play at Blue Hill Golf Course or Broadacres Golf Club for $13 and $19 per round depending on the time of day. In the past, they had to pay the more expensive non-resident adult rates.

"Offering this new program is not only a great opportunity for local youth golfers, it is an investment for the future of golf in Orangetown," Orangetown Parks & Recreation Superintendent Aric Gorton said.
