Orangetown Ballot: Few Changes Since Conventions

Very few names were added to the ballots involving Pearl River between the conventions and last Thursday's deadline to file for the 2011 elections.

Candidates running for office in Rockland County in 2011 were required to file their petitions with the Board of Elections by 5 p.m. July 14 or have them postmarked by midnight.

One notable addtion is Allan Ryff, a Republican candidate for Orangetown Town Supervisor whose addition will force a primary. Republican incumbent Paul Whalen is running for his second term and Andy Stewart of Nyack already had the Democratic endorsement.
