Orangetown Board Discusses Budget, Pearl River Day Funding

The Orangetown Council will continue working on the 2013 budget at a workshop meeting 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The Orangetown Town Board will discuss the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce request for $2,000 in funds for Pearl River Day during Tuesday's workshop meeting starting 8 p.m. at the town hall.

The money would be used to pay for policing the event. The town has contributed $1,000 for the event in the past. A letter from the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce cited the growing size of the event as the reason to request more money.

The letter is attached to this report as part of the support materials for the meeting. The full agenda is also attached.
