The Orangetown Council called a special meeting for 7 p.m. Tuesday, but most of it will be held behind closed doors.
The board will convene in Executive Session to interview five firms that could provide real estate consulting services regarding the Rockland Psychiatric Center property. Various department heads may also participate.
"We had to do it in executive session," Orangetown Supervisor Andy Stewart said. "They are making presentation and we don't want them hearing each other."
The town board will also discuss a disciplinary matter, about which it could vote on a resolution.
Stewart said he was not sure how much public discussion there would be in the meeting, which is being held the same night as the event at Tappan Zee High School.
The board could discuss recent events regarding the plan for Orangetown and the other towns to charge Rockland County for maintenance of street lights, traffic lights and fire hydrants on country roads.
"The towns are moving forward with a strategy on that," Stewart said.
