Orangetown Declares State of Emergency

Orangetown officially declared a state of emergency due to Hurricane Sandy Monday afternoon.

The Town of Orangetown sent out a release to residents Monday informing them that the Supervisor Andy Stewart declared a state of emergency for the town and asking that they remain indoors.

Orangetown Town Hall remains open and will be open Tuesday, though some offices could be closed. Residents are reminded to call 911 for emergencies, or (845) 359-3700 to reach Orangetown Police if it is not an emergency.

All Orangetown parks are closed until further notice. Orangetown Justice Court is closed Monday evening.
