Orangetown Meeting To Include RPC Presentation

Tuesday's Orangetown Town Board meeting will feature a public presentation by Wilson-Elser regarding the Rockland Psychiatric Center property and a public hearing to discuss property maintenance code violations.

Developing the Rockland Psychiatric Center property continues to play a large role in planning Orangetown's future.

The latest part of the discussion will be a public presentation by Wilson-Elser regarding RPC and state agencies during Tuesday's regular Orangetown Board Meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at town hall.

The town council met with . Discussion based on those meetings could also be part of Tuesday's meeting, though it is not specifically listed on the agenda.

There is also a public hearing scheduled for 8 p.m. regarding property maintenance code violations at four properties within the town. At , code enforcement officer Paul Witte said that only the two of the properties are still in violation, both in Blauvelt.

  • Approve aid and other permissions necessary for upcoming events including the 24th Annual South Nyack Ten Miler Sept. 9, the annual car show at Pearl River Hook & Ladder Sept. 23, Blauvelt Lions Club Applefest Sept. 30 in Piermont, The Blauvelt Sons of Italy Italian Feast Sept. 13-16, Nyack Chamber of Commerce Septemberfest Sept. 9, Pearl River Day Oct. 6 and Nyack's Halloween Parade Oct. 27.
  • The board will consider a resolution making the town's Project Review Committee available to anyone considering land development in Orangetown. This would be at the discretion of John Giardiello, director of Building, Planning, Zoning and Enforcement (OBZPAE).
