Pearl River Week in Review: PRHS's Degnan Shines, Orangetown Police Corral Horse

Pearl River Patch stories this week included Pearl River Junior Kevin Degnan's trip to the BCANY Tournament and Gov. Andrew Cuomo vetoed controversial special education legislation.

Last week, Pearl River Patch wrote about Pearl River High School rising junior  heading into the Basketball Coaches' Association of New York Tournament.

The BCANY Tournament was just the latest part of a busy summer for Dgnan The 6-foot-8 forward is already fielding offers from Division I college programs even with two full seasons left to play in high school. 

Degnan scored 56 points in four games to help the Hudson Valley team win the Basketball Coaches' Association of New York Tournament. 

Degnan turned in his best game in Sunday's semifinals, scoring 24 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in a 78-69 victory over Mid-Hudson. Degnan played with top players from Section 1 as they faced top talent from all over New York.

An issues conference will be a wast of time and money. So many ' issues ' have been pulled out ofRead More thin air. The people who organized against the plant will just keep saying the same thing. No amount of info will be enough, no answer will be accepted. The issues conference will be a circus of endless questions, ideas, and demands.
