Prescription Drug Seminar Set for Orangetown Town Hall

Local DEA agents and representatives of the Rockland County Drug Task Force and District Attorney's Office speak about the problem of prescription drug abuse at Orangetown Town Hall.

Local groups will combine their efforts to present a seminar on the prescription drug problem in Rockland County at Orangetown Town Hall May 8 at 7 p.m.

Last week, Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco spoke about the issue at a meeting of the Nanuet Civic Association. 

Four presenters will speak about what they see in the county, then engage in a question and answer session.

The speakers will be:

  • Jay Flaherty, Drug Enforcement Administration, New York Division, Assistant Special Agent in Charge
  • Chris Roberts,  Drug Enforcement Administration, New York Division, Assistant Special Agent in Charge
  • Dominic Crispino, Supervising Assistant District Attorney, Rockland County
  • Christopher Goldrick, Director of Rockland County Drug Task Force

The First Niagara Bank Foundation, Orangetown Police Department, Orangetown Substance Abuse Committee, FPerdue Pharma, Rockland County DA's Office, SOCASA and Wellcore are sponsoring the event.
