Rockland County Officials Make Statement on Sale of Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Care Center

The following is a statement from Rockland County Executive Day, Legislative Chairman Wolfe and RCHFC Chairperson Sherwood on agreement to sell Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Care Center.

Rockland County and the Rockland County Health Facilities Corporation (RCHFC) today finalized an agreement to transfer ownership of Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Care Center to the Summit Park Acquisition Group.

The sale of the facility is all about providing the best experience possible in the most efficient way for the residents of our communities. We are confident the new owners will build upon our long tradition of delivering high-quality, high-value care for the families we serve. Additionally, we know that the purchaser will remain true to the County's mission of treating all persons – patients and employees – with respect and dignity.

On behalf of the entire County, we express our sincere appreciation to the members of the RCHFC for their tireless efforts in this mammoth undertaking.
