Sen. Ball Delivers $20,000 Promise to Teatown Lake Reservation

Thanks to Senator Greg Ball's office for submitting this press release.

Brewster, N.Y. – (7/17/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C-Patterson), has successfully secured a $20,000 bullet aid grant for the Teatown Lake Reservation.

This news follows an of a $20,000 grant for the Teatown Lake Reservation’s biggest event, Eagle Fest. The $20,000 originally came from grants that were re-appropriated and approved in earlier budgets.

Senator Ball made a pledge to the Teatown Lake Reservation that he would work tirelessly to restore the $20,000. Today, Senator Ball is happy to announce, that as a result of a three-way agreement, funds are now available for a $20,000 bullet aid grant for the Teatown Lake Reservation.

“I’m very happy to have had a part in the continued success of Eagle Fest and the Teatown Lake Reservation,” said Senator Ball.  “I am so happy that this money will allow the Teatown Lake Reservation to continue their great work. Eagle Fest allows an amazing opportunity for kids to come out every year to learn about the bald eagle and to get to see these amazing birds in action.”

“Teatown is tremendously grateful to Senator Ball for standing by his commitment to support the vital work we do in particular our celebration of the vibrant return of the bald eagle to the lower Hudson Valley, Teatown’s Hudson River Eaglefest. Senator Ball’s original commitment of $20,000 allowed us to hold last February’s event,” said Dianne Barron, Executive Director of Teatown Lake Reservation. “Greg’s resourcefulness and tenacity in securing a bullet aid grant for Teatown for the same amount has boosted our year end picture significantly.  We are hopeful for continued support from the Senator.”

Also, while Teatown is certainly a worthy organization, and I'm sure the Eaglefest is a great event, this is the sort of pork that I would expect a fiscal conservative like Ball to be against. Maybe the definition of pork is money that's going to other people's districts.

I'd rather die from the most horrifc gastrointestinal disorder brought on by self starvation than accept a copper penny from this disgusting reptile who, when all is said and done, will make degenrates like Weiner and Spitzer look like Mother Theresa.

I guess he is taking the hint from president Obama. The president claims he has created jobs also.

A most impressive young guy (from my party no less!) that really does seem to have his constituency in his plans. Right, a lot of old, worn out, jealous --whatever-- voters do not like Greg's approach. But I do because he does not take the typical, dried-up, outdated warmongering GOP party line and run with it as though it were a bible. He thinks for himself.... and in my view not many in the U.S. (even fewer in the GOP) do. Thanks again Greg for supporting Teatown, a very worthwhile cause right here in our backyards.
