Orangetown Town Clerk Charlotte Madigan is holding a Shred it Day Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. in the Orangetown Town Hall parking lot.
Residents can bring up to two boxes of documents to shred securely. Town Hall is at 26 Orangeburg Road in Orangeburg.
That is the first of two upcoming opportunities to properly dispose of important documents in Orangetown this week. The Sparkill Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a free shredding day for residents Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is full, at the Sparkill Firehouse on Route 340 in Sparkill.
