What's Opened, Closed During the Holidays

With the holidays and the weekend overlapping this year, not many places are open for business in the coming days.

Here's your guide to what's open, what's closed and when things will be back to normal:

Schools

• Clarkstown Schools are closed for winter recess and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3.

• Nyack Schools are closed for winter recess and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3.
  
  
• Pearl River Schools are closed for winter recess and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3.

• South Orangetown Schools are closed for winter recess and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3.

• Nanuet Schools are closed for winter recess and reopen Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Libraries

• New City Library is closed today and reopens Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 9 a.m. It closes again at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31 and reopens Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 9 a.m.

• Nanuet Library is closed today and reopens Tuesday, Dec. 27. It closes again on Saturday, Dec. 31 and reopens Tuesday, Jan. 3.

• Nyack Library is closed today and will reopen Tuesday, Dec. 27. It closes again at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31 and reopens Tuesday, Jan. 3.

• Piermont Library is closed today and reopens Tuesday, Dec. 27. It closes again Saturday, Dec. 31 and reopens Tuesday, Jan. 3.

• Pearl River Library is closed today and reopens Tuesday, Dec. 27. It closes again Saturday, Dec. 31 and reopens Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Government

• Clarkstown Town Hall is closed Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2.

• Orangetown Town Hall is closed Monday, Dec. 26, Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Monday, Jan. 2.

• Nyack Village Hall is closed Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2.

• Rockland County Offices are closed Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2.

Transit

• On Saturday, Dec. 31, all bus systems in Rockland will operate on normal Saturday schedules. [www.rocklandbus.com]

• On Sunday, Jan. 1, all bus systems in Rockland will operate on normal Sunday schedules. [www.rocklandbus.com]

• On Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2, TOR and TZx buses will operate Saturday schedules; Clarkstown Mini Trans buses will operate normal weekday schedules; Spring Valley Jitney buses will not operate; Coach USA’s Rockland Coaches (Red & Tan) buses will operate Sunday schedules.  [www.rocklandbus.com]

• NJ Transit—Pascack Valley Line that services Spring Valley, Nanuet and Pearl River will be running on the Weekend/Major Holiday schedule on Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2.
