SEPTA Meeting Includes Social Skills Roundtable

The Pearl River Special Education PTA will first briefly discuss business 7 p.m. Tuesday, then break out to a round-table discussion about social skills with Michelle Koenig. All district parents are welcomed to attend this relevent presentation in the board room of the new Pearl River School District Administration Building on Crooked Hill Road. 

Koenig is the Director of Family Based Services for the
Rockland Jewish Family Services and runs the social skils program there. She will talk about social skills and answer any questions. Koenig's program is designed for children, teens and young adults. The goal of her program is to teach and promote social skills, positive peer relationships, situational awareness, independence, and healthy living to children with social deficits.

Currently, the social skills group program is geared for people ages four to 25.
